US Studies Centre Scholarships
Merit and Equity-Based
The US Studies Centre will award equity and merit-based scholarships based on financial need and academic merit to successful applicants. Please complete the special equity and merit consideration section of the application form on the Sydney Abroad Database to be considered. These scholarships are partial scholarships.
John Olsen AO Award
The United States Studies Centre is proud to present the John Olsen AO Award to an outstanding American Studies major student who demonstrates exceptional academic merit. To be considered for this award, please ensure to complete the special equity and merit consideration section of the application form on the Sydney Abroad Database. The John Olsen AO Award is a partial scholarship aimed at recognising and supporting deserving students in their pursuit of academic excellence in American Studies.
All scholarship recipients will be notified in mid-May, 2025. All Scholarships will be paid prior to departure.
University of Sydney Scholarships
The USSC-UCLA study abroad program is eligible for University of Sydney Scholarships. *Once accepted, you can apply to:
- Dalyell Global Mobility Scholarship A$2,000
- Vice Chancellor’s Global Mobility Scholarship (Academic Merit) A$1,000
- Vice Chancellor’s Global Mobility Award A$2,500
OS-HELP
OS-HELP Loan Eligible students will be able to apply for an OS-HELP Loan. OS-HELP can be used for a range of expenses such as airfares, accommodation, and other travel or study expenses. Students can apply for a maximum loan of up to AU$8,245.
