Biography
Tom is a Research Associate in emerging technology under the Economic Security program at the United States Studies Centre. He has research experience across climate, education, technology, and fiscal policy, as well as international organisations and politics.
Tom previously worked as Operations and Research Associate at Blueprint Institute. There he produced policy analysis and reports across climate, education, and fiscal policy, alongside delivering work to stakeholders through media and political outreach, managing events, internal operations, website, and strategic outreach. He also drove fundraising and pitch development, and organisational strategy, governance, and processes. He has also worked with other not-for-profits and community organisations across various areas of policy and justice reform.
Tom holds a First-Class Honours in Politics from the University of Sydney, with his thesis examining the conduct of China, and other nations, in elections for United Nations Specialised Agencies. He also has a Bachelor of International and Global Studies, majoring in Political Economy and Government & International Relations from the University of Sydney. He was also selected to work in the Sydney University Policy Reform Project, and studied Populism, Authoritarianism and International Relations at the Freie Universitat Berlin and Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin (WZB) overseas.
