USSC Director of Research Jared Mondschein was featured in an article by AFP about the diplomatic wrangling behind Julian Assange's return to Australia via the US territory of Saipan.
Mondschein said that the United States did not want to drop the charges against Assange: "They wanted him to plead guilty and they had to figure out how to do that without being in the United States."
