Rui Matsukawa is a Japanese politician and diplomat who serves as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Liberal Democratic Party. She previously served as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office. Matsukawa has held a range of foreign affairs and defense positions, including as the Deputy Director of the LDP’s Foreign Affairs Division and Deputy Director-General of the LDP’s International Bureau.
