Stephanie Murphy served for three terms as the US representative for Florida’s 7th congressional district from 2017 to 2023, as the first American-Vietnamese woman elected to the House of Representatives. She served as co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition, Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus and on the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee. Murphy was also a US Department of Defense national security specialist.
