The US Defense Secretary has allegedly shared sensitive military information in a message group that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer.
It comes after earlier revelations Pete Hegseth inadvertently shared the same details of an attack on Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis with The Atlantic's editor-in-chief in a group message on the Signal app.
Jared Mondschein, Director of Research at the United States Studies Centre, was interviewed about these latest developments for the ABC's The World Today.
