With the support of the New South Wales Government and Waverley Council the Future Cities Collaborative has undertaken a project to explore approaches to implementing green infrastructure projects at precinct scale in developed cities. Professor Ed Blakely and Clr Sally Betts, Mayor of Waverley hosted a roundtable luncheon on the challenges of implementing green infrastructure in Sydney.
Dennis Fotinos, President and CEO, Enwave Corporation, Toronto, joined Blakely and Betts to discuss the barriers and opportunities to implementing precinct-wide integrated energy, water and waste systems. Fotinos is a leading Canadian expert in distributed energy systems and was instrumental in implementing the district heating and cooling at Waterfront Toronto.
