USSC Associate Professor Dr David Smith talked to ABC Radio about the images out of the Trump rally in Pennsylvania, where former president Donald Trump raised a fist after being shot.
"This fits into a narrative that Donald Trump has been creating about himself over the last ten years which is that he is indestructible, that he's always fighting, and that nothing can stop him," said Dr Smith.
"This is going to become the centre of his campaign."
