Senator Dave Sharma

Dave Sharma has been a Senator representing New South Wales in the federal parliament since December 2023. He represented the seat of Wentworth in the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022.

Prior to politics, Dave was an Australian diplomat and ambassador. He represented Australia overseas in Israel, Washington DC and Papua New Guinea, served with a peacekeeping operation in Bougainville, and held senior national security positions in Canberra.

Dave is also a former public company chair and director and has extensive business and commercial experience, particularly in the high-tech sector. He was a founding partner of SWG Capital, a boutique corporate advisory and investment advisory firm.
