On Monday, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese arrived in the United States to begin his official four day visit. USSC Director of Research Jared Mondschein tells The Wire that discussions are likely to focus on AUKUS and critical minerals supply chain security, saying that the state visit is indicative of the fact that in many ways the Australia-US alliance "has never in its history been more consequential than it is right now."
