USSC Research Associate Ava Kalinauskas spoke to ausbiz about President Biden's poor performance in the presidential debate; the likelihood of him stepping down; and his potential replacement.
"Biden had one thing to do at the debate ... he's 81, he had to prove that concerns about his age were unfounded and that he's actually up to the job," said Kalinauskas.
Now facing pressure to step down, Kalinauskas stressed that this decision lies with the president alone.
"If we're going to see Biden step aside ... that's the decision that really needs to be made by Biden himself."
