Sameera Pillai

Sameera is a Master’s student in International Relations, currently interning within the Public Diplomacy section of the US Consulate General in Sydney. At the University of Sydney, she serves as the Vice-Chair of the student club – Postgraduate Organisation for Political & Social Sciences. She is also currently involved in the Peer Mentoring program at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, where she mentors new postgraduate students in the International Relations program.

With a background in Communications & Journalism, Sameera has worked in the Communications Department of a Sydney-based law firm. She is interested in international law, human rights, and geopolitics. Through her internship at the US Consulate, Sameera aims to gain insights into the inner workings of public diplomacy.
