USSC Research Associate Samuel Garrett spoke to ABC Radio's Drive program in Tasmania [1:43:30] about the message and thrust of Kamala Harris' speech at the Democratic National Convention.
"She ... really needed to appear presidential, to appear ready for the job, and to allay any last concerns that the public would not see her as a viable option to take on Donald Trump in November," said Garrett.
"I think on the whole we've seen her really sort of pull that off in the speech."
