USSC Director of Research Jared Mondschein was featured in an article in Crikey about former prime minister Kevin Rudd's appearance at the Republican National Convention and his comments urging allies to "chill" if Donald Trump is elected president.
“I think Rudd has, by all accounts, done an admirable job engaging with all sides of US politics,” Mondschein said.
On the AUKUS agreement, Mondschein said it was secure regardless of who is elected: “They’ve already sort of ‘Trumpified’ this agreement - it’s made in a way that’s advantageous to the US, regardless of who the president is."
