USSC Non-Resident Senior Fellow Professor Benjamin Reilly spoke to Eastside Radio's Drive program [at 1.33] about whether Kamala Harris is capable of beating Donald Trump.

"It's early days, but there is certainly a lot of momentum behind her if you look at the latest opinion polling and particularly the fundraising that she's been able to do," said Professor Reilly.

He added that she nonetheless has some liabilities to overcome in the public's eye.

“Kamala Harris has not been a particularly popular vice president, within the party and within some of those key [Democratic] constituencies,” said Professor Reilly.

“She went through a lot of staff, she was famous for having a high degree of turnover.

“The issues that she was given by President Biden to focus on included the southern border, which is of course a hugely sensitive issue and I think she will get attacked a lot by the Republicans about illegal immigration through the southern border," he said.
