USSC Professor of US Politics Brendon O’Connor spoke to Bloomberg TV [at 13.55] about President Joe Biden's televised address from the Oval Office explaining his decision to step down and how Kamala Harris might differentiate herself on policy - particularly on Israel.
"Kamala Harris has rightly talked about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza," said Professor O'Connor.
"She has to cast herself as the candidate who makes decisions in the future and talk about what she truly believes, rather than trying to preserve Biden's legacy on that particularly thorny issue."
