USSC Non-Resident Fellow Victoria Cooper talked to ABC Radio's The World Today program about the strengths and weakness of the contenders on Kamala Harris' vice presidential shortlist.
"At the top of the list at the moment is Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. He won this very crucial swing state - that went for Trump in 2016, Biden in 2020 ... so he's seen as someone who's quite promising," said Cooper.
Considered a "moderate" Democrat, Cooper noted that Governor Shapiro has nonetheless been criticised by the progressive wing of his party for his support for Israel.
