USSC Associate Professor Dr David Smith talks to ABC Drive about the results of the Super Tuesday primaries. Dr Smith points to a weakness for incumbent President Joe Biden regarding the rise in young and Arab-American Democrats voting ‘uncommitted’ in protest of the administration’s handling of the Gaza conflict.
Dr Smith states that the conflict has reflected the limitations of US influence in Israel: “One of the things this war has shown is there do seem to be real limits on how much the US is able to rein [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu in…this could be a very difficult situation for Biden.”
