USSC Senior Non-Resident Fellow Bruce Wolpe talked to Bloomberg about the status of the US election and what a Trump presidency could mean for the US economy and the US-Australia relationship.
"Trump uses tariffs as sort of his holy grail to solve economic problems," said Wolpe.
"Every reputable economist says it's going to have deleterious effects on the American economy, raise prices and drive away jobs, but at the moment he's wielding this like a sword against the weakness of Biden and Harris on the economy."
