Technology policy is a dynamic, rapidly changing space – with countries looking to regulate and restrict AI and data, just as both are becoming sources of commercial and national power.
What technology policy can we expect from a second Trump or a first Harris administration? Where do these candidates collide or diverge? What does a national AI strategy look like for countries like Australia that sit outside the US-China race?
At this event, the United States Studies Centre hosted leading expert on US technology and national security policy, Helen Zhang, a Non-Resident Fellow at the USSC. Helen co-founded the popular international relations media organisation International Intrigue. Helen is a former ‘Googler’ and ex-diplomat with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
