Postgraduate Application

Students wishing to apply for Postgraduate Coursework with the United States Studies Centre should visit the Faculty of Arts coursework website for information on how to apply.

Students wishing to apply for Postgraduate Research with the United States Studies Centre should visit the Faculty of Arts research website for information on how to apply.

Local applicants

Applications for Semester 1, 2013 entry have closed. Current University of Sydney students and those considering cross-institutional or non-award study can enrol for Semester 1, 2013 units of study via the links in the blue box below. Applications for Semester 2, 2013 entry will open shortly. If you are an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, you must apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC), see www.uac.edu.au.

* Local students are defined as Australian citizens or permanent residents at the time of application.

International applicants

Applications for Semester 1, 2013 entry close on 30 November 2012. Late applications will be considered, however priority will be given to applications received on time. International students must apply through the University's International Student Office, see sydney.edu.au/internationaloffice.

University of Sydney students can enrol by logging into MyUni. 

If you would like to apply for cross-institutional study, you can do so through the cross-institutional study application form.

If you would like to apply for non-award study, i.e. undertake one or more units of study for interest that will not count towards a degree, you can do so through the non-degree application form.

Some of these units can be completed as part of a University of Sydney Master of Arts, Master of Commerce, Master of Cultural Studies, Master of Film Studies, Master of International Business, Master of International Security, Master of International Studies, Master of Media Practice, Master of Peace & Conflict Studies, Master of Public Policy and Master of Public Administration.

The US Studies postgraduate program offers a wide range of merit-based coursework scholarships to local and international students.
