
Nina Silove
Researcher specialising in US grand strategy
Nina Silove is a DPhil candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford and a member of Merton College. Nina researches US strategic planning and grand strategy in the post-Cold War era, with a focus on the US response to the rise of China. Her supervisor is Professor Rosemary Foot, FBA. Previously, Nina was the Tutor for International Politics in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Oxford, Deputy Principal of Postmasters (Junior Dean) at Merton College, Convener of the Merton College Global Directions research group, and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney and UTS.
Nina is an alumna of the Columbia University Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies Summer Workshop on Analysis of Military Operations and Strategy (SWAMOS), and the Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research (IQMR), Syracuse University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from UTS, and was the recipient of the UTS Alumni Association Achievement Award for Contribution to the University.
