
Professor Mary O'Kane

Professor Mary O'Kane is Chair at the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy and NSW Chief Scientist and Scientific Engineer. She was Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at the University of Adelaide and before that Dean of the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering at the University of Canberra. O'Kane is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and an Honorary Fellow of Engineers, Australia. She is Chair of the Board of the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy and Vice-Chair of the Development Gateway Chair Foundation. O'Kane has previously served as a director of the Australian Research Council, the Cooperative Research Centres Committee and the board of the CSIRO.
Mary was a panellist at the US Studies Centre's City of the Future conference.
