Maria Atkinson, AM
Group Head of Sustainability, Lend Lease
Maria Atkinson is a member of the US Studies Centre Council of Advisors.
Maria is an internationally recognised expert in green building and sustainability.
Since 2006 Maria has been the Group Head of Sustainability for Lend Lease, with responsibility for managing sustainability across the Group, both internally and externally. In mid 2010 she was also appointed Managing Director of Lend Lease Sustainability Leadership.
In 2012, Maria was appointed a Member of the General Division of the Order of Australia for her “service to the construction and real estate sector, particularly as a leader and contributor to environmentally sustainable building development in Australia”
Previously Maria was the founding CEO and co-founder of the Green Building Council of Australia, and project Environment Manager for a number of Sydney 2000 Olympic projects.
