A Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and former President of the American Political Science Association, Professor Margaret Levi took up her chair at the US Studies Centre in 2009. She also holds the position of Jere L. Bacharach Professor of International Studies and Director of the CHAOS (Comparative and Historical Analysis of Organizations and States) Center at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Levi is currently the General Editor of both the Annual Review of Political Science and of the Cambridge University Press book series Studies in Comparative Politics.
Levi is the author and editor of a dozen books and has written countless articles and chapters. Her books include In the Interest of Others (Princeton UP), Analytic Narratives (Princeton UP), Consent, Dissent, and Patriotism (Cambridge UP), and Of Rule and Revenue (U of California Press).
Levi holds a PhD from Harvard University and a BA from Bryn Mawr College.
