Professor Claire Chenu

Claire was a speaker at the Soil Carbon Sequestration Summit co-hosted by the US Studies Centre and the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Sydney in February 2011.
Claire is Chair of Soil Science at UMR Bioemco, AgroParisTech in Grignon and Paris, France. Her research interests include interactions between soil organic matter, microorganisms and soil mineral matrix. Understanding these interactions is crucial for managing soil structure and enhancing carbon sequestration in soil using appropriate cropping systems.
Claire has been associate editor of several international journals, leader of the soil organic matter group in Grgnon and of the Soil Science Department in INRA Versailles.
