Adam Garfinkle

Editor of The American Interest and former speechwriter for Secretaries of State, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice


Adam Garfinkle was a speaker at the US Studies Centre National Summit in June 2011.

Garfinkle is founding Editor of The American Interest magazine. Previously he was Editor of The National Interest. From 2003 to 2005 Garfinkle served as a speechwriter to George W. Bush's Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. He has taught American foreign policy and Middle East politics at the University of Pennsylvania and The Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.

Garfinkle is the author of a number of books including Telltale Hearts: The Origin and Impact of the Vietnam Antiwar Movement, Israeli Politics and Society: Myths and Reality and War, Water, and Negotiation in the Middle East. His newest book is Jewcentricity: How the Jews Get Praised, Blamed and Used to Explain Nearly Everything.
