Melissa’s background includes leading the corporate communications function of an organisation and the roles of event management, public relations and marketing. Melissa’s previous position was head of the Marketing & Communications team for non-profit organisation, Playgroup NSW.
In 2008-2009, Melissa managed the VIP program for the Sydney 2009 World Masters Games, including HRH Crown Prince Frederik’s visit to Australia and the development of high profile events.
Prior to this, Melissa held the position as Asia Pacific PR & Communications Manager for global company, Travelex, responsible for all external and employee communications across the region.
Melissa started her career in media relations roles in the Press Office of the former Prime Minister, the Hon. John Howard MP and the former Minister for Sport and Tourism, the Hon. Jackie Kelly MP.
Melissa holds a BA in Communications, with majors in Journalism, Public Relations and Video Production.
