Research associate at the Centre, Tom Switzer, says Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has more to answer for than President Obama for not delivering on promised climate change legislation.
This week the Prime Minister revealed that he is shelving climate legislation until 2012 at the earliest while in America the chances of anything being passed before this year’s global summit in Mexico City is next to nil after the President fast-tracked immigration law onto the congressional agenda.
In this interview Switzer discusses the main factors that have pushed climate change off legislative agendas in Australia and the US and considers the similarities and differences in the situations facing Prime Minister Rudd and President Obama. Watch Online
