In this interview 2011-12 US Studies Centre postdoctoral fellow Nicole Hemmer provides an overview of her research into the development of conservative media in post-World War Two America. She says there is much more to the story than the successes of recent years and decades attributed to the likes of Rupert Murdoch. Dr Hemmer explains the book project she is working on which puts the development of conservative media and its relationship with politics in its proper historical context.
