Marc Palen: US Studies Centre postdoctoral fellow

28 November 2011

In this interview 2011-12 US Studies Centre postdoctoral fellow Marc Palen provides an overview of his research into Anglo-American relations and the ideological origins of American globalisation, 1846-1896. He says this period offers insight not only into the shift in official US government policy during the 20th century towards free trade, but also to the state of free trade efforts in today's uncertain global economic environment.
