Obama talks tough on debt ceiling

In a speech marking the end of his first term, President Barack Obama has urged Republicans in Congress to raise the federal debt ceiling to protect the "financial well-being of the American people". Lecturer Adam Lockyer analyses the speech and whether this ploy might help end the deadlock.
