Global preparedness for natural disasters

Edward Blakely, Professor of Urban Policy and disaster recovery expert, believes a global effort is required to prepare for natural disasters. In this interview he discusses what role the United States can play in forming a disaster response corp, what the US has learnt from the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort in New Orleans and how Haiti can benefit from the New Orleans experience.
