US Business Leadership Forum with Rupert Murdoch
Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and CEO of News Corporation, discussed a range of global issues ranging from the global economic crisis to US-China relations and the future of the media with a group of Australian leaders from politics, business, academia and the media at a luncheon on 3 November in Sydney co-hosted by the US Studies Centre and Goldman Sachs JB Were.
Other guests at the lunch included former Prime Ministers Bob Hawke and John Howard, who are also members of the Centre's Advisory Council, Premier of New South Wales Nathan Rees, Governor of NSW and Chancellor of the University of Sydney Marie Bashir, Chairman of Westfield Group Frank Lowy, NAB CEO Cameron Clyne, IAG Chairman James Strong, University of Sydney Vice Chancellor Michael Spence, and Directors of the US Studies Centre, Bob Carr, Zeke Solomon, Joe Skrzynski and Lucy Turnbull.
